Overview:

The UNAM Europe Permanent Seminar brings together researchers and specialists from the UNAM Offices in Europe —Germany, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom— along with collaborators from Mexico, to foster dialogue on global challenges through interdisciplinary exchange.

The session held in London focuses on the theme “Energy Transition”, addressing the urgent need to advance towards sustainable and equitable energy systems. The seminar provides a space for discussion on how renewable energy strategies are being developed across different regions and how experiences from Europe and Mexico can contribute to shared learning and collaboration.

The dialogue explores questions such as how renewable energy sources can complement each other across diverse regional contexts and what lessons can be drawn from different national strategies to overcome technical, political, and social barriers associated with the energy transition.

By bringing together perspectives from multiple countries, the seminar aims to strengthen academic collaboration and contribute to the development of knowledge that supports a more sustainable and just energy future.
